Val's Green Variety Diet

Recipe
Base Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups Knudsen Mega Green Juice
- 1/4 cup organic applesauce
- 1/4 cup collard greens
- 1/2 cup alfalfa sprouts (or 1 Tbsp dried alfalfa leaf)
- 3/4 cup any other fruit juice (e.g., Just Pomegranate by Knudsen)
- 1/2 Tbsp bee pollen
- 1 hardboiled egg (no shell)
- 1 Tbsp flaxseed oil
- 1/2 tsp milk thistle (optional, for liver support)
Additional Optional Ingredients (Choose 2-3 Per Batch):
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1/8 tsp liquid Vitamin E
- 1/2 cup kale
- 1 crushed SamE tablet
- 1 tsp barley grass powder
- 1/2 cup fruit puree or another fruit juice
- 1/4 cup chopped okra
- 1 Tbsp ground chia seed or chia oil
- 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 Tbsp wheat germ
- 1/8 tsp Primal Defense (powdered probiotic)
- 1 Tbsp raw or Manuka honey
- 1 Tbsp Wombaroo High Protein Supplement powder
- 1 tsp calcium carbonate powder
- 1 Tbsp acacia powder
- 1 Tbsp yucca powder
- 1 tsp red palm oil
Feeding
Daily Serving Per Glider:
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of the mix (or 1 Tbsp for every pair)
- 1/2 Tbsp (1 1/2 tsp) fresh fruit
- 1 1/2 Tbsp mixed vegetables
Preparation
- Blend all selected ingredients thoroughly in a blender.
- Freeze the mixture in small portions for easy serving.
Notes
- Offer a variety of 6-10 vegetables and 3-5 fruits each night, chopped into small, glider-sized pieces to encourage variety.
- Every 4th day or so, substitute the mix with scrambled eggs, shrimp, or chicken for variety.
- 2-3 times a week, add 2-3 pieces of high quality kibble.
- Treats such as dried papaya, yogies, nuts, mealworms, or baby puff treats can be offered sparingly.
- Hide foods around the cage to encourage foraging and mental stimulation.
Additional Tips:
- This diet encourages variety and enrichment, making meal times a fun and stimulating experience for your gliders.
- Avoid unsafe foods and ensure a proper calcium-to-phosphorus balance in fruits and vegetables.
- Milk thistle and other supplements are optional and can be tailored to your glider's specific needs.
This diet does NOT use the shared salad mixes.
